I like it. On a piece like this, you could have even gone more violent with it. Perhaps running the blue off of the page entirely? Bringing the viewer in closer that way? I do not know if that would work or not.
The way it is looks really great. I like the fact that the insignia on the chest is colored, and his blue eye is a really good addition that you realize after seeing the slash of color. I also like the way that slash of color crosses his neck!
I think you have a technique here that you should explore further. You have a good sense of design with it, and the combination of the color with black & white offers so many ways to pack a punch like this. Really nice piece of work!

Thanks so much for your input and support. I do intend to do more with this technique. I am going to do one without the hard lines of separation between color and black and white. Maybe just let the marker do what it wants. I think my flesh tone needs more work. It is the first time I did it with markers. Anyhow thanks again. I am working on another piece like this I will let you know when it is posted.
