Artist's Comments

This is the top of my tank I airbrushed. Lots of glare and reflected sky in the photo but you get the picture. No pun intended. The rest of the bike is in my gallery.

Excuse the language but that is fucking legend Ken, really great artwork, tell me do you use liquid masks, or just the old cardboard and frenchcurve tricks to mask shit off???
:iconcbxken:
I use clear frisk, masking tape, and free hand shields. Used liquid mask on a figure model once but never on a bike. Lots of exacto work. Sometimes for hours like every window on the buildings all cut out by hand and painted one at a time. Yikes

Its about the most tedious job I have ever had to do is to cut masks, when I was an appy, I had to cut masks for all the airbrush guys above me, that sucked, but when you step back and see the finished product, your mind just blanks out all that masking and frisket work hey Whooooooooeeeeeee.....now I try and get by with loose masks, I hardly's ever hard mask anymore, not even for detailed work, unless it is long and I have to hold true to a line, otherwise its all freehand...anyway cheers mate, that bike looks staggeringly awesome, great artwork Ken
